It’s easy to be a fair weather fan and only attend your team’s home games on a fine winter day, but a true supporter will follow their team to ALL the games, including those interstate.
Victoria
The MCG and Ethihad Stadium are the major venues in Melbourne and the home grounds for many Melbourne-based teams. Walk to the MCG from any hotel around Jolimont or East Melbourne, such as the Mantra on Jolimont. The Quest Docklands is a stone’s throw from Etihad Stadium.
Head south to Skilled Stadium, Geelong’s home ground for the past 60 years. The Comfort Inn Parkside is a 15 minute walk from the ground.
New South Wales
The SCG is home to the Sydney Swans and close to all the Sydney city hotels. If the big game is at the ANZ Stadium, stay in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct at the Ibis Hotel.
South Australia
AAMI Stadium is the home of the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide, and South Australia’s premier football stadium. Stay in Adelaide city and travel to the stadium by special coaches on game days.
Western Australia
Subiaco Oval is the largest and most recognised stadiums in Western Australia with a capacity of over 43,000 and home to the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers. Stay in West Perth for easy access to the ground.

The Brisbane Cricket Ground (BCG) affectionately known as the GABBA is a 42,000 seat sports venue and the Brisbane Lions home ground. Stay in Brisbane city or the Q Resorts Gabba Central Apartments in Woolloongabba.
Tasmania
The Aurora Stadium is the Tasmanian home ground for Hawthorn and St Kilda, close to all Launceston hotels.
Northern Territory
TIO Stadium is used for 1 game only by the Western Bulldogs during the premiership season. But winter is a great time of year to travel to the Top End. Stay in Darwin and take the free bus service from the city to stadium on game day.
Australian Capital Territory
Manuka Oval in Canberra hosts both Western Bulldogs and Melbourne Demons for 1 home game each this season. Stay in Manuka, Kingston or Forrest to be near the action.
