High sea-son water holidays in Europe
Summer is sizzling in Europe, so cool off with some water-themed holidays. Make a splash on a white water raft or keep you feet dry and experience the refreshing aqua effect aboard a cruise – then stay at hotels with an essence of H2O.
Can you believe that once upon a time the Thames River actually froze over? In 1564, Moses would have needed an ice pick to get his people from Southbank to the city, but in 2009 you and your people can relax in the sun on a lunch cruise with live jazz. Lap up the sights of London over a Sunday three-course meal while acclaimed artists belt out merry tunes. Later, enjoy the Thames light show by night from your room at the Riverbank Park Plaza.
Jump aboard a sailing boat cruise along the Basque coast of Spain. Get your briefing from the captain, learn as much nautical knowledge as you wish and even earn your sea legs by helping out on deck.
